Christmas Party 2013

Well here we are once again, Merry Christmas to you all. As you know, our Christmas Party was held last Wednesday evening in the Todman Centre. This was a very pleasant evening spent with all our friends and partners all busy chatting and trying very hard toChristmas 2013 complete some quizes that had been prepared for us by the committee. As usual they were challenging and great fun to do.

The competition this year was the theme of ‘Winter’ and had quite a few entries all of a very good standard as usual.

The winner was Ian Deaves with a lovely bright sunny but very snowy picture in acrylic of Leigh Broadway. Apparently it was a very close competition with Cathy Newton second by only one vote and Colin Mossman third.

We had the usual raffle, really nice festive prizes and always good fun.

Tom Hearne, Annabel’s husband, gave a really interesting and funny talk on the fire service and finished off with a comical DVD of his last day at work, very funny!

Happy Christmas and healthy New Year to you all, hope to see you in January.
