Don’t forget at this Wednesday’s 23rd March, workshop at the Cedars Centre, Castle Road, Rayleigh, we will be having two films to view.
The first is Hazel Soan’s ‘Watercolour Rainbow’ – in a series of studio exercises and demonstrations she shows how to get the best from the three primary colours.
The second is ‘ A Personal View, Landscapes in Watercolour’ by David Curtis in which he paints three Cornish Coastal scenes.
Look forward to seeing you all there.
Just a quick reminder that the RAG Exhibition this year is over the weekend of 9th/10th April 2016 at the W.I. Hall, Bellingham Lane, Rayleigh.
Paintings should be submitted on Friday 8th April 2016 for hanging between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm – Entry fee is £1.00 per picture and entry forms and labels are available by contacting Vicky Coppard or by clicking on Entry Form
The Exhibition will be opened by the Rt.Hon. Mark Francois at 10:00 am – it would be appreciated if as many members as possible could show their support for the Club by being at the W.I. Hall at that time, as a busy hall would look better than a half empty one.
The Exhibition will close at 4:30 pm on each day and members are asked to refrain from collecting any unsold pictures before 4:30 pm on Sunday 10th April 2016.
The Miss Annabel Dee Gallery and studios is on the look out for artists to submit work for its third Spring Open Exhibition.

Westwood Art Group have organised a coach trip to Trafalgar Square on Wednesday 13th April 2016 and Rayleigh Art Group members have been invited to participate.
This is an opportunity to see the Society of Watercolorists Exhibition at the Mall Gallery.
There is also a special exhibition at the Royal Academy, “Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse” which finishes on 20th April 2016, so the visit will be timely. There is a charge, £15 for concessions; £16 for adults. Also it is best to book in advance for a timed slot – http://www.royalacademy.org.uk. Using the work of Monet as a starting point, this landmark exhibition examines the role gardens played in the evolution of art from the early 1860’s through to the 1920’s.
The coach will be picking up at Choice in Haleigh at 9.00 am and leaving for home at 4.00 pm. The cost for the coach is £13 including a tip for the driver. If you would like to take advantage of this trip please contact Jean Western on 01268 758676 – cheques should be made payable to Westwood Art Group.
